Mr. Kalantari, who has been with EPM since 1984, has over twenty-five years of experience in the nuclear power industry. He leads EPM's Engineering Services Division providing technical, corporate, and administrative guidance. Mr. Kalantari is also an active, practicing consultant. He has expertise in all aspects of nuclear power plant engineering including design, operation, construction, licensing, and in program areas such as Fire Protection, Appendix R/Safe Shutdown Analysis, Code Compliance, Systems Engineering, Component Classification, Environmental Qualification, Self-Assessments and Audits, Station Blackout, Seismic Qualification, Regulatory Guide 1.97, and Independent Plant Examination of External Events (IPEEE). In addition to providing support to EPM's domestic clients, Mr. Kalantari has provided his expertise to Russian, Ukrainian, Korean, Armenian, and Canadian engineers and regulators in the implementation of safe shutdown and fire hazards analysis for plants in those countries. Mr. Kalantari is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Nuclear Society (ANS), the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). He is a principal member of the Technical Committee on Fire Protection for Nuclear Facilities (NFPA 805 Committee). |
