Design Basis Documentation

EPM has provided design basis reconstitution services related to various regulatory requirements at numerous nuclear plants in the United States and Canada. EPM prepares Design Basis Documents (DBD) that result in an efficient information system that encompasses fire protection regulatory compliance issues by providing a detailed guide to the fire protection program documents. A typical DBD is comprised of a consolidated document that includes the fire protection systems, major components, and the Appendix R compliance programs. The components of the DBD accurately describe the plant’s fire protection design and compliance with the plant design and licensing basis.
