Senior Technical Manager PRA
EPM is currently looking for a Senior PRA Manager to join our Risk Services Division in our Raleigh office. In this role, you will be one of the key individuals responsible for the overall success of the Risk Services Division (RSD). The Senior Manager will participate directly in all aspects of managing RSD, including technical aspects, ensuring that projects are well managed to meet the client’s expectation, as well as sales and marketing duties to define new products for the future.
Objectives:
- Assist the division director of the Risk Services Division and to have a key role in performing Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) activities including developing new PRA and risk analysis products and business opportunities.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Establishing requirements for and monitoring the management of products related to meeting QA requirements, schedules, budgets, contractual obligations, and project plans
- Hiring staff
- Resolving personnel issues, completing performance reviews and mentoring junior staff
- Support managing the Risk Services Division to defined financial goals and prepare revenue and cost projections for the division as required
- Actively participate in business development activities by identifying new products, prepare and approve proposals and up scopes, visit new clients to monitor client satisfaction, etc.
- Participate in setting the short-term operational plan and long-term division strategy
- Negotiate contractual issues with the clients
- Work with technical managers and directors across all company divisions to meet company objectives
- Perform any other work-related responsibilities required to ensure the success of the division and the company
- Overnight domestic and possibly international travel will be required
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other related discipline. PE License is desired.
- Strong understanding of risk fundamentals and their practical application to client needs.
- Strong experience in the following areas:
- Nuclear Power Plant PRA development
- Nuclear Power Plant design and operation
- Nuclear Risk Informed Applications and Regulations
- Advanced and Small Modular Reactor conceptual design and regulations
- Experience with Risk Analysis Software:
- EPRI Suite – CAFTA, EOOS, FRANX, PHOENIX
- Risk Spectrum, Saphire, WinNUPRA, Riskman is desired
- Risk Analysis experience is desired in the following industries:
- Petro-Chemical
- Environmental
- 15 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including senior project management, and business development capabilities
- Established strong relationships with key clients decision-makers
- Qualified to support US government funded advanced reactor development
